My name is Sandra Hood and I specialize in helping buyers and sellers buy, sell, and invest in real estate in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Communities include Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, York County, New Kent, Williamsburg, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.

An active REALTOR® in Hampton Roads, VA since 2005, I have achieved the following designations/certifications/licenses: Associate Broker, Instructor, ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), SRS (Seller Representative Specialist), SFR (Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource), and 203k Specialist. As an involved member of VPAR (Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors®), I serve on the Public Policy and Professional Standards Committee.

With a background and experience in marketing, research, sales, psychology, and education, I am able to utilize all of my skills, experience, and knowledge in helping clients sell and buy their homes. Growing up a military BRAT, I have a special insight into the financial, logistical, and emotional stress of military families and their moves. Also, as a child of 1st and 2nd generation Americans, I have a special appreciation for our cultural differences. I lived in Europe for 11 years and am familiar with foreign languages, especially Italian and German.

As a Peninsula resident for over 20 years, I lived in Hampton, Poquoson, Newport News, and York County. I am very familiar with the area whether waterfront or rural. I can help you with rentals or “distressed properties”.

Since my daughters were raised here, I am familiar with many of the school systems. My husband is employed by the U.S. Army and works at Ft. Eustis. I believe in community participation and civic duties. I am a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Operation Homefront of Hampton Roads, and CNU Parent Ambassadors. I am a member of the York County and Hampton Chamber of Commerce.
